ONTARIO’S PAY EQUITY OFFICE LAUNCHES THE PAY EQUITY SOLUTION FOR SMALL BUSINESS DO-IT-YOURSELF TOOLKIT

The importance of closing gender pay gaps is widely recognized by governments, workers’ organizations, and employers as good practice in supporting stronger economic and social outcomes. Making a commitment to pay equity isn’t just about doing the right thing. It can help employers grow a better, more innovative, and more profitable business.
But it can be hard to know where to start.
To help employers get started, Ontario’s Pay Equity Office announces a free Pay Equity Solution for Small Business Do-It-Yourself Toolkit, designed for companies with 10+ employees. This bilingual interactive tool guides employers through the steps of pay equity, and employers can move through and around the tool at their own pace. Our dedicated webpage also includes explainer videos for each step along with graphics and FAQs to further improve their knowledge of Ontario’s Pay Equity Act.
Pay equity is more than a legal or regulatory obligation: when you pay women well and equitably, research shows that business competitiveness, communities and economies improve.
