Persons with disabilities face significant barriers in the labour market, including higher unemployment rates, lower wages, and limited workplace accommodations. These disparities are not fully explained by individual factors such as education or experience, but stem from systemic challenges, including discrimination and the lack of workplace flexibility.

Join the ILO Global Business and Disability Network (GBDN) for an insightful webinar exploring the disability pay gap on 11 March from 2:00 to 3:00 PM (CEST). The session will feature Sevane Ananian, Research Specialist at the ILO, presenting key insights from the ILO Working Paper "A study on the employment and wage outcomes of people with disabilities". Angela Matthews, Director of Public Policy & Research at the Business Disability Forum, will discuss the unintended consequences of measuring corporate disability pay gaps. Rylin Rodgers, Disability Policy Director at Microsoft, will highlight the business case for wage equity.

Interpretation into International Sign and live captioning will be provided to ensure accessibility for all.
