Minimum Wage is set through collective bargaining. Agriculture, security industry, construction industry and domestic work sectors have minimum wage. Namibia carries out labour inspections in all sectors of the economy. Labour inspections monitor basic conditions of employment, including pay rates. Non-compliance with the legislation can lead to corrective measures recommendations either to the Employment Equity Commissioner or, in case of race and gender discrimination, to the Police.
