The Canadian Employers Council (CEC) is committed to pay equity. Not only is pay equity the right thing to do – it makes business sense. Our members are fully participating in legislative change being introduced across Canada in this important area. Notably, CEC members are at the forefront in the upcoming implementation of the new federal Pay Equity Act, which will affect all federally-regulated employers in important national scope sectors, such as banking, communications and transportation.

The Canadian Employers Council (CEC) is excited to be a part of this critical global dialogue. EPIC will allow a multi-way conversation among leaders on the issue of pay equity. We not only look forward to learning from others but also to contributing to the discussion. The CEC is also pleased that Canada now has full social partner involvement in this important endeavour.
